Most programs serve one group and hope for the best. We built an interlocking system: kids learn AI on Saturdays, their parents learn career skills at the same time in the same building, and graduates come back as mentors. When you lift one generation, the next one rises with it.
We found no dedicated community based AI education programs for kids, adults, or returning citizens in zip codes 55411 and 55412. The median household income is $37,000 below the county average (U.S. Census ACS). The digital divide here is not about access to devices. It is about access to the skills that will define the next economy. Buildrs Nation exists to close that gap.

Kids Grades K-8
Starting Summer 2026, kids in grades K-8 will learn to build with AI every Saturday. Not just use it. Three age based tracks. Real projects they take home and own. Zero cost to families. All materials provided. This is where the next generation of builders starts.
Parents & Caregivers
While their kids build with AI in one room, parents learn AI powered career skills in the next. Resume tools, job search automation, interview prep, side hustle strategies. No childcare barrier. No scheduling conflict. The whole family learns together.
Ages 8 to 14
A full summer of building with AI. Field trips to Twin Cities tech companies. A community showcase where campers present what they built to families, neighbors, and community leaders. Starting with a focused pilot and expanding each year.
Youth Ages 14 to 18
Twelve weeks. Industry recognized certifications. A professional portfolio. Direct connections to internship opportunities at Twin Cities companies. For teens who are ready to turn AI skills into career leverage.
Adults Rebuilding Careers
We found no dedicated AI or digital skills program for returning citizens in North Minneapolis. We are building one. Eight weeks of digital fundamentals, AI career tools, and mentorship for adults rebuilding their professional lives. Because a second chance should come with 21st century skills.
Business Owners
North Minneapolis has thousands of Black owned businesses and almost zero AI support infrastructure. Monthly workshops teaching owners how to use AI for marketing, operations, and customer engagement so Northside businesses can compete with anyone.
Adults 55+
Monthly workshops where older adults learn AI and modern technology at their own pace. Smartphones, video calling, staying safe online, connecting with family. Small groups. No judgment. Because digital access is a right at every age.
A 7 year old joins the Builder Program on Saturdays. Her mom joins AI for Parents upstairs. By age 10, she is mentoring the younger kids. At 14, she enters the Certification Track and earns her first industry credential. At 16, she interns at a Twin Cities tech company.
Her mom? She used those AI career skills to land a new job in Year 1. By Year 3, she is volunteering as a program lead. That is the Buildrs Pipeline. One family. One community. Everyone moving forward.
