Last updated: March 23, 2026

1. Who We Are

Buildrs Nation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization (EIN: 41-5051913) providing free AI education for youth in grades K-8. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from website visitors, program participants, families, donors, and volunteers.

2. Information We Collect

Website Visitors

We may collect basic website usage data (pages visited, time on site) through standard analytics. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

Program Participants & Families

For program enrollment, we collect: child's name, age, grade, parent/guardian name, contact information, and emergency contacts. This information is collected through enrollment forms completed by a parent or guardian.

Volunteers

We collect: name, email, phone number, skills, availability, and information needed for background checks.

Donors

We collect: name, email, and donation amount. Payment processing is handled by third-party processors. We do not store credit card or bank account numbers.

3. How We Use Information

  • To operate and improve our programs and communicate with families, volunteers, and donors
  • To ensure child safety during program activities
  • To report aggregate (non-identifying) program outcomes to funders and supporters
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. What We Never Do

  • We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information
  • We never share individual student data with funders, partners, or third parties without written parental consent
  • We never enter student personally identifiable information into any AI tool
  • We never use individual student data in marketing, fundraising, or public communications without explicit consent

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Buildrs Nation complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. All enrollment for children under 13 is completed by a parent or guardian.

Parents and guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's personal information at any time by contacting us.

6. AI Tools and Student Data

During program sessions, students use AI tools (such as Claude by Anthropic) for creative building projects under direct staff supervision. Students use shared accounts with built-in safety guardrails. No student names, personal information, or identifying data is ever entered into any AI system.

7. Data Security

Personal information is stored in password-protected systems with two-factor authentication. Access is limited to authorized program staff only. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Data Sharing

We share only aggregate, non-identifying data (e.g., “85% of students showed improvement” (hypothetical example)) in reports to funders, partners, and the public. Individual student information is never shared outside our program team without explicit written parental consent.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you or your child
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your or your child's information
  • Withdraw consent for data collection at any time
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
